Acer Palmatum Group: Matsumurae - Red

In the spring the leaves are orange-red to purple-red, depending on location and shade cover, not the deep black-red of many other red cultivars. The leaves have a green undertone when grown in deep shade. The autumn colour is bright crimson. This is a fairly fast growing plant which forms a medium sized tree.
